Our Mission<\/h2>\n

The Mission of B.A.A.R.K. dog rescue is the rescue, compassionate and extraordinary care, and placement into permanent loving homes of homeless, unwanted, neglected, and suffering animals. In addition, the organization shall strive to educate the public on critical animal – related issues, and partner with other organizations having similar values and objectives.<\/p>\n

Overview<\/h2>\n

Barrington Area Animal Rescue & Kennels Nfp (B.A.A.R.K.) Is An All-Volunteer, Foster-Based Dog Rescue, Serving The Chicago Area. The Organization’s Primary Location Is Barrington Hills Illinois, With A Secondary Satellite In Naperville Illinois.<\/p>\n

The Organization’s Articles Of Incorporation Were Accepted By The Illinois Secretary Of State In December, 2014. Acknowledgement As A 501C3
Organization Was Received In April 2015. B.A.A.R.K. Is Also Registered With The Illinois Attorney General’s Office, As A Charitable Organization Operating Within The State Of Illinois.<\/p>\n

All Activities Undertaken By The Volunteers Of B.A.A.R.K. Are In Support Of The Organization’s Mission, And Its Vision To Create A More Humane And Compassionate World In Which All Animals Are Treated With Dignity And Respect. While The Organization Has Been Registered As Barrington Area Animal Rescue & Kennels Nfp And This Name Is Designated In Its Articles Of Incorporation, The Organization Also Holds The Name Of And Plans To Do Business Under The Name “Holly’s Safe House For Strays.” This Name Will Be Used Specifically In Relation To B.A.A.R.K.’S Animal Rescue, Foster Care, And Adoption Programs. As The Organization Grows, Additional Programs Such As Humane Education And Pet Therapy Will Be Incorporated, Each With Its Own Name.<\/p>\n

Featured Adoptable Dog<\/h2>\n

Maggie is an adorable 3- year-old Hound\/Whippet Mix who BAARK rescued from a high-kill downstate shelter. At the time \u00a0<\/span>we saved Maggie, little did we know we were saving her six unborn puppies too! Three of the puppies have moved along to their forever homes; three adorable pups continue on their journey to their forever homes! The pups are relatively calm and shy, but playful like pups typically are!!<\/p>\n

Maggie’s puppies were born April 2017. They continue their search for wonderful forever homes of their own!<\/p>\n
